Re: basketball 30 days away

When it comes to Basketball, I'm fairly uhrm... clueless about the whole scenario and who does what every year.

If you (or someone else) don't mind, could you kind of give me a rundown on how each teams usually perform every year?

As an example, this time taking football into account:
Powell Valley and Gate City are usually the top teams
Clintwood and Appalachia are usually pretty tough
Etc. etc. etc. etc.

Thanks in advance!

Coeburn should be pretty solid this year, have some good returning starters and some newbies who made their mark in j.v.

You have the two big men, pate and lawson coming back, then you have hollyfield, lewis, and hall returning. Adkins will be getting a lot of playing time, as should mays and jennings, perry will be playing this year as well, so im comfortable with both the starters and the bench...

GC and Norton are normally the teams to beat. Pound has an up and coming team that is coming off a regional appearance, PV has all kinds of talent but never wins the big game. Coeburn thinks they are good but never really do much, Appy is bad, Wise is supposed to be improved and Clintwood is average.

Two words for GC this year...young and talented.
"We cannot expect the Americans to jump from capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving Americans small doses of socialism until they suddenly awake to find they have Communism."

I know, i watched them last year. Lot of talent coming up, just hope it gels. Least we should have a couple of big men this year. Bays is going to be a monster.
